Home & studio!
I decided to paint the house where I live! It is a shared house, a grandma and grandpa own it and live upstairs. Another mystery tenant (I’ve never see him/her) lives in a backroom.
As you can see, I’ve left some of the less attractive elements out (wires, traffic signs, street pole…) but I do think they add something!
I want to figure out a way to make custom house portraits without being too literal while also trying to integrate parts of the scene. Thoughts?
Above is my studio space + Zukh’s room. I am so happy to have a place dedicated to just making things. It makes it easier mentally and just logistically - I can leave stuff out!
I’m also glad that my beloved kitty has a safe space to call his own. He can hide from people to his heart’s content.
Going forward I’d definitely like to improve upon my working area!
As you can tell I’m not the neatest person in all the land. I use cheap Daiso dishes as palettes, an old cup for paint water, jars to organize brushes…. and I have piles of finished and unfinished work everywhere.
I’ll give another studio update when it has ideally been given a revamp!
