Pasadena + LA

I luckily visited my family in Pasadena for winter break!

We didn’t site see much but it was very nice to see family and enjoy the weather.

Below are just some excerpts from my visit~

Arts and Crafts Time

Most of the trip I hung out at home and did some crafts!

We stopped by Michaels and got some ornaments and other fun wood pieces to paint! We just used some inexpensive acrylic paints.

I am going to share the process of the ornament I painted!

The beginning sketch! A European Robin

I decided to do a white under-layer and then color on top.

Got the star painted and began on the bird!

The Robin Final!!!

Holly sketch!

Final piece! I wanted this to be the “back” and the Robin the “front,” but I think the colors for the holly painting came out so nicely! It’s perhaps the bigger show-stopper.
